Date: 2010-04-23 04:44 am (UTC)Если транслитерировать по амер.системе имена собственные, скажем топонимы в латиницу, а потом в кириллицу обратно - то возникнут двусмыссленности, из-за: ы=й, тс=ц, ые=е и т.д. Почти идеальна прусская система, на основе которой разработана система ЮНЕСКО, которой и надо пользоваться.
